Mercury's representatives were highly inept and incompetent and lacked more than common sense --- they lacked a heart. A family lost their mother and there is no level of monetary compensation that can replace her. When it comes to such a profound loss, apologies after the fact are hollow.
The issue of whether the disconnection of power was a direct cause of Mrs. Muliaga's passing away is irrelevant here. The central issue is the utter lack of compassion shown by a representative of Mercury Energy to the Muliaga family.
Is this lack of compassion shown by Mercury Energy something that you would like to see from your electricity provider? Is this lack of compassion shown by Mercury Energy something that you would like to see from any business that you deal with? Is this what you would like to see happen to your mother? your father? your sister? your brother? grandparents? Aunt or uncle?
People matter more than profits. Let's make Mercury Energy accountable by hurting them where it matters – their profits. MAKE THE SWITCH and watch our collective stance make a real difference.
Remember, it is us as consumers who give businesses a right to be in business. In fact, it is a privilege to be in business, not a right. We choose who succeeds in business through our consumption. Conversely, we choose who fails in business through NOT consuming their product/service. Get the necessary information you need and MAKE THE SWITCH.
